Job description

Koki Holdings America Ltd./Metabo HPT is seeking a Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for coordinating and receiving incoming goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process Purchase Orders to Suppliers
  • Maintain Purchase Order Status and Monitor Shipments
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Identify, research and resolve all incoming inventory issues
  • Negotiate with local suppliers to obtain value pricing
  • Identify cost improvements and services with suppliers thru evaluation and negotiation process
  • Schedule import and domestic shipments to our warehouses
  • Assist and arrange all sample request from affiliates
  • Set up new product and discontinued product in the system as needed
  • Update all ETA (Estimated Time Arrival) in the system
  • Checking all back orders and following up on status
  • Process all shipping documents including broker invoices
  • Process transfer requests to warehouses
  • Ordering of office supplies
  • Filing
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma; and 1-2 year of related experience and/or training is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have excellent verbal communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
