We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the eCommerce team. In this role, you will spearhead the architecture, design and development of our next-generation eCommerce platform, ensuring a seamless user experience across all channels and different devices. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll establish best practices for front-end and back-end development, leveraging concepts like the backend-for-frontend pattern and component libraries. Your contributions will span various product areas, including eCommerce shopping, enrollment, SEO, and marketing landing pages, driving our mission to deliver consistent, intuitive, performant, and high-quality experiences at scale.

Responsibilities:
- Hands on implementation of end-to-end eCommerce solutions, ensuring seamless experience across various customer touch points and devices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineers to deliver high-quality solutions, including robust unit, integration, and functional tests and code reviews.
- Engage with leaders and team members across Engineering, Product Management, UX Design, Analytics, and Marketing to provide valuable insights on user-centric and technically feasible solutions.
- Contribute to the software engineering standards and evaluate technology options to ensure optimal performance and scalability of applications.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or similar field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in fast-paced full-stack product development environments.
- Expertise in one of modern Javascript front-end development technologies like Vue.js, React.js, Next.js, and Nuxt.js, emphasizing reusable component design and mobile-friendly user interfaces with CSS techniques such as grids, flexbox, and breakpoints and standards such as ES6, ES5 .
- Experience with backend service design, development and testing using NodeJS and/or Java SpringBoot
- Experience working with Product Managers and UX designers to understand the requirements and translate the FIGMA UI designs into implementations.
- Experience in working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB).
- Understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful services and cloud-native software development.
- Experience in working with GIT, Jenkins, AWS/GCP, CI/CD.
- Experience in working with feature flagging, A/B testing (Adobe, Target, Optimizely), distributed tracing, Server Side Rendering, Performance improvement and testing for full-stack eCommerce application is a plus.
- Knowledge of web page performance optimization and relevant metrics is a plus.
- Experience with CMS such as WordPress or Gatsby is a plus.
Prefer candidates that reside in Pacific Standard Time PST or Central Standar Time CST. There will be extended evening hours due to regular meetings with our Xiamen Team
