Key Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations – receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of inventory
• Supervise, train, and motivate a diverse warehouse team to achieve productivity and safety goals
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with all standards
• Monitor inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies
• Collaborate with purchasing, installation, and service teams to ensure timely distribution of materials and equipment
• Prepare and review reports related to inventory, shipments, and team performance
• Operate material handling equipment as required (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Essential Skills and Core Competencies for Warehouse Team Leadership

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to resolve issues and implement process improvements
• Proficient with warehouse management systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite, email)
• Able to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in a team setting

Warehouse Supervisor Job Requirements: Experience & Education

• High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or certification in logistics or supply chain strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
• Experience using inventory or warehouse management software
• Forklift certification is a plus
