SUMMARY
This centralized function constitutes the coordination of the maintenance parts process in providing the best cost and quality within the timelines needed for increased maintenance efficiency and production uptime.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process all Purchase Requests generated from Maintenance utilizing Datastream 7i.
  • Research and evaluate parts requests working with maintenance supervisors, planners, and technicians to provide the best quality, price, and lead time.
  • Process all Central Stores Replenishment orders.
  • Analyze Reorder points and quantities and make adjustments based on needs and history.
  • Monitor and expedite all purchase orders generated to ensure timely receipt.
  • Process weekly/monthly reports as requested.
  • Provide backup to Central Stores Coordinator as needed.
  • Perform special projects and/or other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of experience working in maintenance and/or parts management in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operational parts
  • Strong computer skills preferably working within a CMMS system.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. This position will be required to work within very tight timelines and must be able to multitask.
  • Strong decision making skills.
  • Strong skills researching via internet, manufacturer’s manuals, etc.
  • Must be able to read and understand manufacturer’s specifications, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
  • Positive communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of maintenance personnel.
