Job Description

 

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Senior Construction Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to work with our Seattle team and key clients on a wide portfolio of Data Center, Commercial Real Estate, High-Tech & Manufacturing projects, which vary from medium to high complexity.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • In-office and/or onsite work is required. This is not a remote role (hybrid work flexibility may or may not be established after a demonstrated period depending on our client's needs and employee's performance).
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity.
  • Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Support our existing key client relationships.
  • Lead proposals for new work.
  • Lead a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver to the highest quality for the benefit of our clients.
  • Be responsible for the financial management of commissions.
  • Set a clear strategy and ambition for the team.
  • Identify, coach and mentor talent to realize their potential and celebrate the success of others.
  • Grow and develop exceptional people.
  • Display excellence in leadership and service delivery.

Qualifications

 

  • Consultancy experience working in a construction cost management role.
  • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering.
  • RICS or equivalent accredited is desirable.
  • Experience of leading cost management deliverables on large construction projects of high complexity.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, contract law, innovation, procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
  • The ideal candidate should have conceptual estimating experience.

Additional Information

 

The salary range for this full-time role is $100K-$185 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
