As an intern within the FAR (Foundational Analyst Rotational) Program, participants will join us for a paid, ten-week summer internship with our Internal Audit – Data Analytics team.
What We Offer: The internship experience includes networking, relevant work assignments, group projects, social and wellness events, mentorship, and other informative learning sessions with key leaders. Our programming is designed to provide students with a blend of business and professional developmental opportunities that incorporates real-world experiences.
What You’ll Do:
Gain an understanding of how a medium-sized publicly traded company operates. Which includes: exposure to systems, databases, and other applications used by the Company on a daily basis
Participate in process walkthroughs and perform audit testing in accordance with department and professional standards
Use analytics tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to perform audit testing and build continuous auditing/ monitoring program
Practice project management through handling various assignments and projects
Expand knowledge through training and other online courses
Interact with other company leaders to develop an understanding of career options and opportunities at LPL Financial
Partake in department events and meetings throughout the internship program

Requirements
Current sophomore or junior
Interest in the financial services industry
Technology related majors however, the team would also consider other business-related programs
In addition, relevant coursework, internships, or extracurricular leadership experience
Basic knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL
3.0 GPA minimum
Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill/Charlotte office - Selected candidates will operate out of the Carolina’s office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office)
Preferences:
GPA of 3.3 or higher
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 platforms
Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Passionate, driven, open to new opportunities, and positive attitude
High level of motivation and initiative
Summer Internship Schedule:
Full- time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2026; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours
Internship dates: 6/1/2026 – 8/7/2026
Hourly Rate:
$22-$25The hourly amount is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
