We are looking for a talented and experienced leader to join our growing Home Health Data Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical leadership, and day-to-day management for our data engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing our data infrastructure, ensuring that it is scalable, secure, and reliable. We are looking for someone with a passion for improvement; both in our processes and in yourself. This is a hands-on, leadership position responsible for the scaling and maturation of our data environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the data architecture and strategy for our Home Health business
  • Develop and implement a long-term vision and roadmap for the data engineering function
  • Lead the migration effort from an on-prem data warehouse to Snowflake
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Partner across multiple departments to drive optimal use of data, build data processes, and product offerings that support our strategic direction.
  • Architect and implement scalable and secure data infrastructure solutions, leveraging cloud technologies (e.g. Snowflake and Azure) as needed.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements to our data ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data governance and compliance.

Technology you will manage: Snowflake, Azure, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Intersystems Gateway

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years leading and inspiring data engineering teams
  • A deep understanding of data architecture, pipelines (ETL/ELT), and warehousing.
  • 5+ years experience building, deploying, validating, and scaling data analytics
  • A knack for building secure and reliable data infrastructure, leveraging cloud solutions (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • The ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions
  • The leadership chops to mentor, motivate, and empower a high-performing team of data engineers
  • An attitude of success defined by team accomplishments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience migrating to Snowflake

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$153,500 - $211,300 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
