Job Information

The Aftermarket Regional Sales Manager represents the company at the dealership level. They are responsible for maintaining good relations between the company and the dealer channel. Aftermarket Regional Sales Managers assist dealers in their efforts to sell and provide guidance on top OEM quality parts and are responsible for developing their dealer product support capabilities based on their assigned territories. They also focus on dealer development with regards to best practices to improve dealership knowledge of OEM parts and products.

The Aftermarket Regional Sales Manager focuses on customer retention, which translates to increased market share due to repeat sales. The Aftermarket Regional Sales Manager will have a home office and will travel extensively to dealerships throughout the territory.  This position is open to any location near a major airport in the posted areas.
 
 

Role & Responsibility

Dealer Management 

  • Develops and maintains relationships with dealer representatives within their assigned territory
  • Assist in initial capability evaluation of potential new dealerships
  • Assist new dealers in setting up their parts/service departments
  • Assure dealers have a clear understanding of the Company Policies and Procedures
  •  Advise dealer sales staff in proper service and maintenance of all company products
  • Evaluate and act on requests from dealers regarding commercial policy adjustments
  • Drive District parts sales and stocking behavior to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets
  • Support all parts and service programs through active promotion at the Dealerships
  • Assist in Dealer termination 
  • Drive stocking and planning behaviors of Dealers

 

Dealer Communications

  • Communicates and implements strategies for sales in assigned territory
  • Answers inquiries from dealers concerning parts products, their uses, and OEM inventory
  • Provides information, quotes, and other relevant information to dealers
  • Collaborates with purchasing department, warehouse managers and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are shipped properly
  • Timely and appropriate responses to resolve dealer representatives’ complaints including resolution and survey follow-up. 

 

Dealer Technical Support

  • Prepares and reports results, status of accounts, travel reports to manager
  • Report problems and solutions to Product Service Manager for the product and/or case through the Call Trac system
  • Applies knowledge of the industry and technical features to match products to the needs of clients
  • Be available to assist in situations requiring technical support or feedback.
  • Improve dealer retention through effective prescriptions and management of goodwill support.

Job Requirement

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field 
  • Education Required: Associates degree in Technical or related field
  • Experience Required: 2>5 years
  • Travel Required: > 50%
  • Preferred Knowledge: Through product knowledge and understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pays close attention to detail and great listener
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Make sound, timely decisions
  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Good time management skills, organized
  • Valid driver’s license with clean Department of Motor Vehicle driving record
