Senior Storage Engineer - IT Infrastructure Service

<p><span>Red Hat's IT Infrastructure Services team is searching for a Senior Storage Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic.  This role will help the team deliver on Red Hat's next-generation IT and hybrid Data Center strategy. As a Senior Storage Engineer, you’ll have direct experience providing storage solutions for business-level functions, such as Data Recovery &amp; Protection, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity.  </span></p><p></p><p><span>You will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of Storage solutions supporting internal Red Hat teams. Develop and maintain a hybrid cloud/on-prem storage environment capable of handling tens of petabytes of data.  Participate in vetting new storage solutions and providing feedback to vendors regarding Red Hat company needs. Support backup and disaster recovery tools.  </span></p><p></p><p><u><b><b>What will you do:</b></b></u></p><ul><li><p><span>Provide direction on strategic initiatives for the storage infrastructure</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assist with the development of data security and data protection policies and solutions; ensure strict compliance with all such policies</span></p></li><li><p><span>Establish and recommend policies on system use and services; help define offerings, KPIs, monitoring, and overall management of the services</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop new services and capabilities to support a Hybrid Data Center model</span></p></li><li><p><span>Partner with business groups to consult on technical solutions that drive the business forward</span></p></li><li><p><span>Extensively partner with vendors to help build and support solutions</span></p></li><li><p><span>Make presentations to customers and client audiences or professional peers</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><u><b><b>What will you bring:</b></b></u></p><ul><li><p><span>+7 years of Enterprise Data Storage management experience, including SAN, NAS, on-prem and cloud, NFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with Ansible or other equivalent tools </span></p></li><li><p><span>Must have multi-years of experience, particularly with NetApp technologies including AFF, FAS, E-series, StorageGrid, CVO, Cloud Sync, FSx, Cloud Insights, AIQUM, System Manager</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with Amazon FSx for NetApp OnTAP or other S3-compatible storage environments</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience deploying on-prem S3 storage or S3 translation layers</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide technical expertise for system design, installation, configuration, performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolutions</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong documentation skills to include creating and updating detailed environment design, installation, and support documentation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Interface with internal and external security/audit teams to secure all storage systems against internal and external threats.
