As a Client Access Representative, you will be responsible for performing various clerical support functions within clinician office practices. Your role will involve scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate client records, all while navigating potentially stressful situations with professionalism and grace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients upon arrival, verifying personal information and payment methods, and collecting co-payments as applicable.
  • Schedule clinician appointments and confirm client benefits and eligibility.
  • Manage appointment changes, including cancellations and no-shows, according to established processes.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and staff to resolve any issues that arise during visits.
  • Ensure the completeness of client health records and maintain accurate financial transactions.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively and manage phone communications.
  • Maintain a tidy reception area and assist with various office equipment as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to multi-task while being a team player.
  • Excellent organization and typing skills, with proficiency in computer usage.
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned area.

Physical Requirements:

  • ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
