About the role:

SentinelOne’s Vigilance MDR (Managed Detection & Response) team is a global 24x7x365 team of security experts responding to attacks on behalf of our customers.  Vigilance MDR  is responsible for performing analysis, investigation, and response across millions of endpoints for a global client base.

SentinelOne’s Vigilance MDR Team Lead reports to the Director of MDR Operations and is responsible for leading the US East Coast MDR team. This person will oversee the day-to-day operations and continued growth of this team.  This leader will be accountable for ensuring their team meets all operational SLAs and will also play a key role in the team's growth and expansion, recruiting new team members while growing and developing the existing team.  

The successful candidate will work with other global and regional leaders to ensure smooth global operations, inspire a team of experts to continually serve our clients with industry-leading analysis, and proactively identify and resolve any issues.

Major responsibilities:

• Ensure the US East Coast team meets all operational SLAs during team coverage hours while maintaining the high degree of quality and accuracy that our customers expect. This includes:

• Reviewing operational metrics and KPIs for the team and individual team members.

• Reviewing the quality and accuracy of threat analysis and response performed by your team. 

• Maintaining the team’s shift schedule, ensuring adequate coverage during planned and unplanned team member absences.

• Serve as a technical escalation point for your team members as needed.

• Lead and directly mentor your team leads while building individual career paths for each team member based on their career goals and the available opportunities within the company.

• Proactively identify potential service improvements and issues and drive the adoption of (or modifications to) technologies and methodologies to improve the MDR service.

• Participate in the recruiting process for your team and other teams within SentinelOne.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• At least 5 years of security operations experience, with a focus on threat detection and response.

• Experience leading and mentoring others.

• Experience working with a globally distributed team.

• A passion for information security and security operations.

• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Desired Knowledge & Experience:

• Prior experience as a security operations team lead or manager.

• Prior Managed Services (MSSP/MDR) experience.

• Prior incident response experience.

• Expert-level SentinelOne or equivalent EDR/EPP platform investigative knowledge

• Expert-level technical investigative knowledge in Windows, Linux, and OSX operating systems

• Understanding of malware and the forensic artifacts it leaves on endpoints
