MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR TRAINER

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supervision and training of all maintenance. Takes direction from the Maintenance Manager. This role develops and delivers training programs to equip maintenance personnel with the skills and knowledge to effectively perform their duties insuring efficient and reliable operation. Directing technicians for assigned duties. Supervises maintenance personnel for day-to-day control of assigned department activities according to prescribed schedules priorities, production flow, and processing specifications to ensure overall plant efficiencies are met. Responsible for managing the maintenance training and development.  Assures operation of safe and functionally sound equipment. Evaluates assigned work performance and takes corrective action. Leads, coaches, and trains assigned personnel to work standards and ensures said standards are being followed constantly.  ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 1.       Acts as a coach by training, mentoring, scheduling, counseling, and providing guidance to hourly Maintenance employees.a.       Provides leadership through effective communication and coaching.b.       Provides assistance and supportc.        Manage maintenance training by instructing assisting all new and current maintenance employees and ensuring that each employee is able to satisfactorily demonstrate mechanical competencies.d.       Delivers Training by conducting hands on training sessions and simulations to teach maintenance technicians how to perform their jobs safely and efficientlye.       Evaluate training effectiveness by assessing the knowledge and skills of trainees.f.         Identifies training needs by analyzing job performance, equipment failures, and other relevant information to identify areas where training is needed.g.       Ensures a positive work environment exhibiting the company’s values and a culture of respect for all employees.h.       Motivates, corrects, and challenges personnel with a positive approach.i.         Notifies Maintenance Manager when problems arise with equipment or machinery. j.         Able to recommend or suggest the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other status changes of employees with consideration of the frequency with which such recommendations are made, requested, and relied upon.k.        Maintains open dialogue with assigned team.l.         Handles employee complaints, grievances, and concerns as needed. When approached with feedback and concerns, able to resolves them in the most direct and positive way possible.m.     Ensures all company policies are followed.n.       Train and Supports Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, equipment PCL and Process Controls software and ensures necessary repairs are completed expeditiously.o.       Provides leadership for planning and executing preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance programs.
