What you’re responsible for:

  • Supporting lead source analysis and contributing to the development of strategic insights.
  • Collaborating with Regional Marketing & Communications to align branding and messaging with client engagement strategies.
  • Contributing to the creation of innovative approaches to identify and attract a diverse range of target clients.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of a local research strategy to identify, qualify, and win new clients in partnership with Client Relations and Regional Principals.
  • Mapping and maintaining key local client relationships, including new, existing, and previous contacts and firms.
  • Partnering with the Global Business Development team to identify and pursue cross-regional opportunities with high-value clients.
  • Participating in lead management initiatives and driving outcomes as outlined by the Principal.
  • Identifying and escalating potential risks (legal, reputational, financial) to the Client Relations Principal and Managing Director while adhering to ethical practices.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely input of client data and activities into the CRM system.
  • Implementing and championing Business Development methodologies, standards, processes, and technology solutions to improve organizational effectiveness.

How we’ll measure success

  • Handover Efficiency: New leads successfully validated, qualified, and advanced to RFP inclusion or proposal submission stages.
  • Sales Conversion: Percentage of handovers that convert to closed-won sales opportunities.
  • Activity Metrics: Consistent tracking of Business Development activities, including client meetings, networking events, new leads generated, and follow-up engagements.
  • Collaboration Feedback: Positive and actionable feedback from internal cross-functional teams.
  • CRM Data Accuracy: Timely and precise updates to the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and usefulness.

Your Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with a strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience using strategic outreach and cold-calling techniques to initiate meaningful connections with potential leads.
  • Strong ability to communicate the value of opportunities persuasively, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Proven success in identifying real opportunities and managing them effectively through the handover process.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data management.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to work effectively across teams.
