About the Role:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented EDI Data Support Clerk to join our Florida team. In this critical role, you will help ensure accurate, timely reporting to the Florida Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) by supporting electronic data submissions, running reports, and partnering closely with internal teams.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their clerical and analytical skills in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our EDI team, you will perform the following essential functions to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.

  • Follow direction from the EDI Compliance Supervisor and collaborate with EDI team members and Information Systems personnel.

  • Accurately enter and submit EDI data for Florida state reporting, including FROI (First Report of Injury) and SROI (Subsequent Report of Injury) filings.

  • Communicate with internal CCMSI staff to obtain information and documentation necessary for accurate and compliant EDI submissions.

  • Professionally communicate with contacts at state offices to resolve issues and ensure successful FROI/SROI submissions.

  • Coordinate daily with IT and Operations to validate processes and clear any error notifications within state-required timelines.

  • Maintain and update monthly EDI performance and status reports specific to Florida DWC requirements.

  • Support Account Managers by developing and maintaining internal and client-facing reports through various database applications.

  • Assist in training Florida personnel involved in EDI processes and reporting obligations.

  • Proactively support various EDI and Compliance projects as assigned by the EDI Compliance Supervisor or other leadership.

  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance during designated client service hours.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams, external clients, and state agencies.

  • Prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently with minimal supervision after training.

  • Ensure a strong focus on data accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance in all reporting activities.

  • Ability to run SQL queries is a plus but not a requirement for the position.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Associate degree in technology, business, insurance, or related experience preferred.

  • Prior experience with Workers’ Compensation and/or Property and Casualty insurance strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with Florida’s Workers’ Compensation regulatory environment is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve independently.

  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Basic understanding of business operations, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

  • Previous knowledge of EDI processes is highly desirable.

  • Ability to run SQL Queries is a plus, but not required.
