Medical Call Service Representative

This is a remote position.
Scope:
Work during standard business hours (typically Monday to Friday from 9-6 Toronto Time, with some variations) (10:00 PM to 7:00 AM PHT)
Operate in Eastern Standard Time zone
Handle up to 300 calls per day across multiple clinic locations
Utilize VOIP systems for call management
Potential to handle calls in languages other than English (future consideration)
Meet performance targets, such as handling 5-6 calls per hour
Answer and manage high-volume incoming calls for multiple clinic locations
Schedule appointments and manage bookings using cloud-based systems
Collect and accurately record sensitive patient information, including health card numbers
Address general inquiries about clinic services and operations
Pre-qualify patients and note down symptoms for doctors
Manage patient queues efficiently while providing excellent customer service
Use Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to access and update patient information
Excellent verbal communication skills in English
Experience in high-volume call handling, preferably in a healthcare setting
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proficiency in using cloud-based scheduling systems and electronic health records
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
Customer service-oriented with a patient and empathetic demeanor
Basic understanding of medical terminology (preferred)
