Social Media Strategist

The Social Media Strategist will provide expert level social media strategy and support for this government program. This position is responsible for all the social media content, social media strategy, and crisis control across all platforms.  
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:·        Provide expert level digital and social communications through on all social media platforms·        Schedule, edit and create all social media postings across all platforms that align with the mission of the program·        Lead the organic and paid social media strategy for the program·        Manage all content that goes out on all social platforms and provide crisis management, as required·        Lead strategy for social media growth and organic engagement·        Increase the following and engagement across various platforms·        Lead and leverage partnerships and/or influencers, as appropriate·        Keep leadership up to date on social media/industry trends related to the program mission·        Provide subject matter expertise for any social campaigns and strategy optimization using paid features and advertisements·        Advise leadership on content strategy, audience, market strategy and crisis control·        Help monitor and manage paid social media budget·        Create and implement content marketing and social media strategy for the program·        Ensure that all postings align with the mission and function of the program, as well as the objectives as set forth by the commanding officer·        Utilize reporting, metrics, and project management tools to access the global reach of all platforms, postings, videos, etc.·        Provide required reporting to the appropriate members of leadership·        Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:·        Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field
Experience:·        Minimum five plus (5+) years of experience in a position that is responsible for social media content and global strategy
Skills & Abilities:·        Expert knowledge of social media norms and ethics·        Familiarity with a wide variety of social media platforms and tools·        Exceptional written and verbal communication skills·        High level of organizational and problem-solving skills·        Superior interpersonal and relationship building abilities·        Proficiency in various Google Suite and Microsoft products
Work Environment:·        Onsite office environment·        Travel to different locations required
Clearance:·        Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain/maintain required
