About the role

As Manager, Business Process Improvement and VOS, you will have a critical role in working with the business to identify opportunities to further improve the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes within the Americas region. Additionally, you will act as a Business Process Owner, and you will be responsible for providing support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to the PRICE TO PAY function.

In this role you will need PRICE TO PAY domain skills, a process improvement mindset, ability to listen and address specific problems, articulate solutions, and coordinate different projects.  The ability to influence others and obtain business buy-in are critical to being successful in this role.  Additionally, this role will be responsible for governing the overall end-to-end process, ensuring that processes are standardized across the region, change is managed carefully following a structured governance model and process improvements are identified, including technology changes. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize VOS governance and framework to plan, facilitate, and manage business process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend improvement towards more automated processes.
  • Plans, facilitates, and manages business process improvement initiatives using agile methodologies.
  • Prepare flowcharts and other related reporting packages to track both project deliverables/timelines and key issues.
  • Liaise with local Learning & Development teams to facilitate learning, process improvement/validation and logistical coordination.
  • Provide expert support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to PRICE TO PAY processes.
  • Maintain a strong focus on execution of delivery of short-term results while moving toward the long-term vision.
  • Nurture a culture of continuous improvement, best practice sharing and process standardization and align with other Regions where possible.
  • Perform root cause analysis to determine causes of missed performance metrics.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement process-specific policies and procedures to drive process efficiency.
  • Escalate process issues to respective business owners in a timely and structured approach.
  • Drive team members to promote value added activities and focus on exceeding customers’ demands.
  • Motivate team members to challenge the status quo and strive for process excellence.
  • Create a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Develop and train staff on Oracle functionality and efficient ways to utilize the system.
  • Review the results of ERP testing.
  • Will help develop and maintain operational excellence and quality KPI’s and countermeasures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience within the PRICE TO PAY function.
  • Experience working in an international and culturally diverse organization.

Communication Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Good communicator, confident in interacting with individuals across various levels and functions, both internal and external.

Analytical Skills

  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced experience with ERP financial applications (Oracle preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in Power BI preferred.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with Agile process improvement methodology is a plus.

Teamwork and Collaboration

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
  • Strong business partnering mentality; able to balance facilitating and challenging the business effectively.

Leadership Skills

  • Proven ability to influence others.
  • Experience in building compelling business cases and shaping stakeholder opinions, linking proposals to others' needs and concerns.
