Job Summary:

The Retail Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations within the store. They manage the receipt, storage and organization. Ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Retail Warehouse Lead also supervises stocking associates, providing leadership and guidance to maintain a safe, productive, and organized warehouse environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of stocking associates.
• Train, mentor, and coach stocking associates on proper procedures for receiving, storage, inventory management while emphasizing safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, verifying accuracy, quality, and condition of merchandise, and processing paperwork in accordance with company guidelines.
• Ensure that merchandise is stored safely, securely, and in an organized manner.
• Coordinate with store management and other departments to prioritize stock flowing to the floor in accordance with receiving dates keeping BRI to a minimum.
• Coordinate incoming receipts with store leadership to ensure efficient product replenishment to the floor, pulling all priority pallets to the floor first.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness and safe work practices in the warehouse.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations, including safety protocols, security measures, and inventory control measures.
• Ensure all return trucks have a BOL as per company policy.
• Complete any other assigned tasks by the Store Manager.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a retail or distribution environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse motorized material handling equipment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate store operations and business needs.
• Fork Lift Certification ( Preferred)
• High school diploma , GED or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended hours, up to entire shift
• Frequently lift items over 50 pounds
• Background check required
