Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Description

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey

Responsibilities:

· Pick up clients from home or other living facilities using company provided wheelchair accessible minivan. Provides the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers.

· Transports clients to and from approved pick-up location and destination in Prince George's County

· Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind.

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding non-emergency medical transportation.

· Operate mobile devices, mobile software system, and operate GPS unit.

· Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed.

· Communicate transport details with Dispatch.

· Pre- and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks.

· Other functions may be assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Possession of patience and care with clients, and their caregivers.

· Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.

· Must be flexible.

Education and Experience:

· Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.

· High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently.

· Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, MVR screening, and physical.
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
• Maintain a strong attendance record.
• Safely operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
• Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
• Must be flexible.
• Must be capable of driving in inclement weather. *

$500 Sign-on bonus*
