Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Information Staff Security Contracts Manager to join our team. In this critical role, you will be a primary driver in ensuring that ServiceNow's security contract process aligns with our information security principles and architecture. As a pivotal part of our team, you will collaborate closely with our legal team, various stakeholders, and cross-functional teams across the organization to shape contractual language that reflects our current security stance, thereby minimizing risks to both ServiceNow and our valued customers. 

What you get to do in this role:   

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams, commercial legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to review and enhance customer contracts, including “redlines” as it relates to information security, data protection, and architecture. 
  • Propose Standard Language: Act as a subject matter expert to propose new contractual language that sets standard terms related to information security, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow's security policies. 
  • Lead and participate in customer negotiations related to data security, addressing inquiries and concerns to ensure successful contractual agreements. 
  • Stay current on ServiceNow architecture, industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to information security and contractual agreements. 
  • Navigating Ambiguity: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment, adapting strategies as needed to address emerging challenges and opportunities. 
  • Engage in multiple contract negotiations with the ability to manage and prioritize workload to meet critical timelines. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
  • 6+ years of experience within Contracts Management for a SW or SaaS company 
  • 6+ years of experience within Contracts Management for a SW or SaaS company 
  • Solid understanding of contractual principles relative to IT and Security concepts. 
  • 6+ years of relevant Customer/Sales Contracts 
  • Experience working in an in-house legal department, ideally a technology company, with a focus on technology contracts and information security. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Enterprise IT Industry 
    • In-depth knowledge of the enterprise IT landscape 
    • Ideally SaaS and cloud computing areas, and their associated security implications. 
  • Team Collaboration and Information Sharing: Strong inclination towards teamwork and sharing of information to foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. 
  • Self-Starter with Goal-Oriented Mindset: Demonstrated ability to independently manage priorities, set goals, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and occasionally ambiguous environment. 
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Nice to have: Relevant certifications in information security, such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
