Senior Product Manager - Application Development Platform

Today, Snowflake is becoming an application platform. Think of the App Store or Play Store but with the apps running on the Snowflake Cloud, not phones. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Metadata team. The role entails defining the vision and roadmap for new Snowflake programmability constructs, such as classes and instances, that will power the next generation of applications built by snowflake product teams, partners and customers. These new programmability constructs will make Snowflake metadata extensible enabling developers to build advanced features on Snowflake, such as machine learning functions for anomaly detection and time series forecasting, cost governance, security applications and more. We’re still early in our journey and we are looking for a talented and passionate product manager to innovate with us. 

How do you want to make your impact?

 

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER YOU WILL:

• Define and evolve the product vision and direction for programmability constructs, such as classes and instances, to power the next generation of applications of Snowflake.
• Drive product capabilities and strategy to ease multi-cloud analytics for top-tier enterprise customers 
• Collaborate cross functionally across product, engineering, and design stakeholders across a large scope of our product surface area.
• Manage customer preview programs and engage in frequent conversations with customers both to understand their needs, gather feedback, and overall ensure that product direction is in tune with customer needs.
• Be a technical, strong and eloquent advocate for Snowflake’s programmability constructs, both internally and externally, with regular presentations and talks at conferences
• Ship features and improvements frequently and iteratively. You will own getting your product out the door, and you will own making sure it's constantly getting better.

 

OUR IDEAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL:

• Familiarity with deep database internals.
• Proven track record of launching 0-to-1 products for developers.
• Proven track record of setting product vision and strategy for deep technical products that are loved by the developer persona.
• Experience leading high visibility cross functional projects and owning communication with key stakeholders across the company.
• Have an ability to get excited by ambiguity and vague problem definitions, thrive in the dynamic environment that comes with being part of an innovative company during a growth spurt. 
• Have a strong sense of ownership and problem solving skills. Snowflake is moving fast!
• Have proven experience defining a product vision and roadmap and managing incremental execution through successful launches.
• Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

• Experience with public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) 
• Experience in building data services in public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
