Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are seeking a Sanitary Sewer Collections Manager at our project, Public Water Supply District #2 / East Central Missouri, to manage the District’s manhole and sanitary sewer pipe inspection, assessment, and maintenance programs. 
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.00pm, with availability for emergency and holiday call-outs as needed.

What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran

  • Managing an annual budget of more than $1,000,000.
  • Leading and managing twelve (12) wastewater employees.
  • Camera investigation and condition assessment of the District’s one million feet of sanitary sewer mains using the Clever Scan video technology.
  • Oversight for the clearing, cleaning, and maintenance of the District’s sanitary sewer mains and manholes.
  • Investigation and condition assessment of the District’s sanitary system’s more than 6,200 manholes.
  • This manager will be responsible for the inspection, condition assessment, and general maintenance of the District’s sanitary sewer mains and manholes, including managing the scope, schedule, and budget of these functions in accordance with State and contract requirements. Additional responsibilities include environmental compliance, employee safety, client relations and financial management. Successful candidates will have experience supervising sanitary sewer field personnel.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Current National Association of Sewer Companies (NASSCO) certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year of selections for this position.
  • Five or more years of experience in investigating and maintaining sanitary sewer pipe and manholes.
  • Minimum of Sanitary Sewer System Collection Class C Certification.
  • Experience overseeing personnel and a budget of $1,000,000 or more.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record with regulators.
  • High School graduate or equivalent, with technical/vocational school background.
  • Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record and must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
