Job Description
Summary/Objective
Responsible for the overall management and performance of the equipment and fleet of the Southeast Division.
Essential Functions

Supports various operational roles in implementing and enforcing Superior’s Corporate Equipment Policy
Responsible for the Regional Equipment Department cost report and annual budget
Reviews all regional equipment schedules and assigns needs with regional assets or short-term rentals
Responsible for Maintenance and Work Order System management
Provides leadership and direction to the Shop Supervisor (Equipment Manager)
Approves all major, minor, and unscheduled repairs for the region
Collaborates with Corporate Equipment Manager on all buy, salvage, or major repair decisions
Promotes a safe work environment

This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting and on construction project sites.
Physical Demands

The incumbent regularly sits for long periods of time at a desk in front of a computer screen.
The employee occasionally may be required to lift, push, pull, or carry objects; typically, when filing is needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. This position may require long hours.
Travel
The role requires travel, up to 10-20%.
Required Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or Technical Training. EMS Certification (or obtained within 6 months)
Minimum 8-10 years of industry tenure, with supervisory experience required
Significant field-based experience
Preferred Education and Experience
BS in Equipment Management, Construction, or a related field is preferred.
Construction industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations for shop safety, crane safety, and construction
Working knowledge of MS Office software
CEM certification or ability to acquire
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
