About the role

Wright-Pierce is seeking an Engineering Administrative Assistant. The Engineering Administrative Assistant provides engineering project support, from design phase through bidding, construction, and final completion, for the engineering teams at Wright-Pierce’s Southeast offices (3). They are also part of the larger collaborative administrative team, with opportunities for potential career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, organization, editing, proofreading, formatting, production of engineering project deliverables including but not limited to reports, plans, specifications, contracts, presentations, letters, memos, etc.
  • Engineering projects support with bidding and construction phases, through to final completion.
  • Formatting, review, and production of specifications and contract documents during bidding process.
  • Facilitation, coordination, distribution of all associated construction documentation.
  • Assisting field staff during construction.
  • Working directly with the Administrative Services Manager and Engineering Assistant Manager on strategic efforts that have company-wide impact.
  • Maintaining quality control of Wright-Pierce brand standards throughout all deliverables.

Essential Functions 

  • Be an integral part of multiple project teams by being responsive to and help planning next steps for engineering tasks and critical deadlines.
  • Be an initiative-taker with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Employ excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel to and work from our other Southeastern offices, periodically.
  • Work closely with office assistant to sustain and enhance a collaborative and professional office atmosphere.
  • Be comfortable with delegating overflow work to other assistants.

Experience

  • 5 years of engineering team support experience
  • A/E/C industry experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Specific expertise in MS Word layout and formatting recommended.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat is preferred.

Education

  • BA/BS degree preferred, or minimum 5 years industry experience required.
