Setting Out Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor on a project based in Maidstone, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer seeking a long run of work with a busy contractor delivering high-quality groundworks, drainage and infrastructure packages across the South East. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of site operations, ensuring works are set out accurately and completed in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements. Key Responsibilities • Setting out for groundworks, drainage, foundations and associated infrastructure works • Carrying out site surveys and level checks • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications • Producing accurate site records and as-built information • Liaising with site management, subcontractors and other stakeholders • Supporting quality assurance and compliance procedures • Ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and on programme Requirements • Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer • Experience working on groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure projects • Competent using Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings • CSCS Card essential • Strong communication and organisational skills What's on Offer • Competitive day rate depending on experience • Long run of work • Company surveying equipment provided • Immediate start available • Opportunity to work with an established and growing contractor If you are an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity in Kent, we would like to hear from you.
