Responsibilities

Empower AI is searching for a fast, efficient and detail oriented Sr. Accounting Associate to join our team! This is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in the Reston, Virginia office.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

BPOL - Virginia Business License - Recurring JE

ROU - JE

Income Tax Accrual - Recurring JE

GSA Fees - Recurring JE - 4 JEs

Intangible Amortization - Recurring JE

Bank Interest (if any)

Bank Service Charge (Operating Acc) - VP

Prepaid (Direct and Indirect) - Draft

Sales and Use Taxes - Monthly Report and  GL Detail

Washington Filing - Pay Sales and Use Tax

Sweep entry - JE

Wells Fargo Loan Fee - VP

Revolver Interest - VP

Reconcile Bank Statements

Deposit of checks

Capital Equipment Leases - Recurring JE

Debt Issue Cost Amortization - Recurring JE

Fixed Assets/Depreciation Entry

Direct Depreciation reclass

Indirect Depreciation reclass

Impairment Reclass

NCRED Reserve Entry

AR Suspense account check

Post Invoices that are available

Verify all customer invoices in 'Completed" status

E-mail cash receipt reports to Sue Dobyns

Post all cash receipts

Unbilled reclass

Rent Invoice Other closing tasks

Audit data gathering

 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 5 years of experience
• Must have public accounting experience (such as: BDO, RSM, Cohn Reznick, GT, KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, EY)
• Must have govcon experience
• Experience in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

• CPA or CPA track
• Private Equity Experience
