Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $19.04 - $28.51/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Transport Coordinator functions: 

• Primary point of contact for resolving client and auction transportation issues
• Assist with the transportation of aged units for our commercial clients
• Partner with repo agents and partnering transportation companies to get units to the auction in a timely manner
• Assist with advanced charge payment of invoices for client transports
• Look for innovative ways to cut down days to transport for our clients
• Assist with our public buyer processing and other administrative duties
• Use of our DHL, Oracle, AutoIMS, and AS400 system to gather data on client transports
• Demonstrate effective prioritization skills by understanding the role of assigned tasks within the comprehensive lifecycle of auctioned cars
• Demonstrates professionalism and sincere appreciation for the business relationships that have been established amongst the client and Manheim.

Estimator Functions: 

• Develops positive working relationships with mech shop, body shop, clients, and inside and outside coordinators
• Developing repair or reconditioning estimations, including parts and labor, assisting team members with part purchase / pricing detail and communication
• Working with multiple vendors and suppliers to find the best priced parts with the quickest turn-around time
• Building rapport with client and evaluating client SOPs to recommend "smart repairs" based on client needs and priorities
• Maintaining professionalism in all communication with clients, team-members, and vendors.
• Analyze reports to know what work needs to be prioritized

Qualifications:

Minimal-

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience;
• OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, particularly in a phone or email context
• Attention to detail and follow-through
• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a changing environment,
• Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced, high energy, dynamic and demanding environment
• Demonstrated experience being a customer-focused, service-oriented professional

Preferred-

Auction, automotive sales, logistics/transportation knowledge a strong plus
