Current Need

The Senior Manager of Network Engineering will lead a team of network engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical understanding, strong leadership skills, and a focus on delivering robust and scalable network solutions that align with the organization's goals.

 All network solutions are tested and documented prior to deployment and support by McKesson partners. Collaborative and customer centric skills are critical in continuing the Network Design and Engineering team’s trusted advisor brand, for the benefit of McKesson’s customers and supporting business units.

What You’ll Do:   

·       Lead and manage a team of network engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. 

·       Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Aruba/Cisco networking solutions, including wireless, switching, and security technologies. 

·       Develop and oversee network strategies, policies, and best practices to ensure robust, scalable, and secure network operations. 

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security, cloud, and application teams, to align network initiatives with business goals. 

·       Plan, design, and execute network infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and optimizations to improve performance and reliability. 

·       Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues and ensure rapid resolution of outages and performance bottlenecks. 

·       Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures. 

·       Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements or new solutions to enhance efficiency and security. 

·       Manage vendor relationships and contracts for Aruba/Cisco products and other networking solutions. 

·       Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity best practices. 

 What We’re Looking For:  

 We are seeking a strategic thinker with a deep technical understanding, strong leadership skills, and a focus on delivering robust and scalable network solutions that align with the organization's goals. 

Minimum Requirements:  

Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Critical Skills

·       9+ years of experience in network engineering 

·       Hands on experience with implementation of Aruba SD WAN technology

·       Strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies.

·       Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and network automation 

·       Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. 

Additional Skills

·
