Job Description

Job Summary:

The Commercial Operations Senior Director is the central point for all things Commercial and Money Movement (CMS) across the organization, striving to bring simplicity, ease, and clarity to how we work together to drive business results. The Senior Director will work across business units and regions to set clear and ambitious goals and to identify and execute against initiatives that will enable us better achieve those objectives. They will proactively identify roadblocks and challenges that could challenge us, define solutions, and work with partners around the organization to bring them to life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a central point of contact for our regional and global functional teams:

- Act as a liaison between regional and global teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with regional teams to ensure alignment of objectives and strategies.

- Collaborate closely with regional teams to gather market insights and understand local requirements, identify roadblocks to growth, develop strategies to address, and work jointly to execute them.

 

2. Mobilize the power of the entire Visa organization to deliver on CMS objectives by setting clear joint goals and priorities with key functions that support and enable CMS growth (e.g., Consulting / Advisory, Merchant, Digital Partnerships, Marketing) with global consistency in approach

- Proactively identify opportunities for partnership across the organization to drive CMS growth

- Develop consistent and repeatable plays that can be applied globally, making it easy for our partners to work with us in a consistent way

- Share best practices around the world to enable every region to have a ‘best-of’ approach

- Support CMS leadership in presenting a consistent view of the strategy, goals, and objectives for the function across various internal and external forums (e.g., internal leadership meetings, external events)

 

3. Align the CMS organization on metrics and ambitious targets that drive our business

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and establish measurable goals and objectives for various business initiatives

- Develop strategies and action plans to achieve set goals within specified timelines, and drive accountability for results across the organization.

- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the management team.

- Analyze data and market maturity to identify opportunities for business growth.

- Monitor and analyze sales pipelines, making adjustments/recommendations as necessary to meet or exceed set sales targets.

 

4. Simplify operating rhythms to drive efficiency:

- Apply understanding of the client lifecycle (from discovery to delivery) to identify opportunities and roadblocks, and work collaboratively across the organization to address and execute against them.

- Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in existing processes and propose effective solutions.

- Drive efficiency in our ways of working, streamlining, automating and simplifying to increase efficiency of sales process and net revenue realization.

- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, improve customer satisfaction (Net Promoter Score), and increase revenue.

- Strive for the 80/20 – get to the ‘good enough’ answer, align and mobilize the organization against it, and execute quickly, identify activities we should stop (as well as start) to optimize our teams’ time and performance.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
