Seasonal, Non-Exempt

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Expected hiring range $15.00 - $16.00 based on education, experience, and skills.

Description / Duties:

  • Provide developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs and interests of the participants.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of programs and services.
  • Make recommendations on programs and services.
  • Develop and implement scheduled daily activities.
  • Interact with youth in scheduled daily activities.
  • Transport supplies via a park district vehicle.
  • Prepare necessary safety and behavior paperwork, and direct to appropriate individual.
  • Responsible for keeping areas organized and neat.
  • Establish cooperative working relationships with co-workers and participant parents.
  • Attend department and park district meetings and in-house training sessions.
  • Perform duties in compliance with the policies and procedures as established by the park district.
  • Participate in park district safety and training program to ensure that work performed and services provided are implemented in a safe manner.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Attending a college/university with a major or minor in Arts preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum six (6) month in the fine arts field. 

 

Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of programs and services for assigned area of responsibility.
  • General knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities for participants in assigned area of responsibility.
  • Modern office practices and equipment.
  • Customer service techniques.

 

License / Certification:

  • Valid driver's license required for programs including transportation, otherwise preferred.

 

Hours:

Varies - may include days, nights, weekends, and split shifts. Approximately 20 hr/week.
