Position Specific Description

The Regional Manager I- Solar and Energy Storage will oversee a portfolio of solar and storage assets in the Florida North Solar Region. This position will be based near Jacksonville, FL and will require 50% travel within the region. In this role you will be directly responsible for safe operations of each site which includes site management, technical services, field execution, developing and maintaining a highly engaged workforce, budgeting and neighboring landowner relations.

 

This is not a remote-work position, and it is expected that the ideal candidate be located in Northern Florida (Jacksonville, Gainesville, Palm Coast).

 

The Production Manager I will possess:

  • Ability to develop and oversee budget and inventory controls

  • Ability to maintain a valid passport
  • Ability to travel ~30% of the time

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain a world-class safety culture
  • Ensure environmental compliance
  • Provide leadership in all aspects of operations and maintenance
  • Resolve technical issues by working collaboratively with OEMs, Engineering & Construction and Engineering & Operations Support Services teams
  • Ensure timely warranty process adhere
  • Support the development and management of site and fleet budget processes
  • Ensure project financials target are met
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and policies
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements for all sites
  • Manage all personnel training and development 
  • Oversee customer and landowner relations
  • Support renewables recruiting hiring strategy
  • Support development strategy
  • Interface with community leaders, regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers, and local agencies as required
  • Develop KPIs to ensure the sites are meeting or exceeding operational standards 
  • Support the development of O&M budgets 
  • Ensures all budget targets are met
  • Collaborate with peers, stake holders, central organizations support team, vendors and OEMs for the furtherance of organizations goals
  • Ensures all safety, environmental, performance, and reliability targets are met
  • Develop and grow the team/business

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) from an accredited university or college
  • Experience: 7+ years in engineering and/or the solar and energy storage project construction and field operations
  • Professional Engineer license

Job Overview

This job leads a team involved in operating multiple solar storage sites. Under limited direction, leaders in this role manage all aspects of site business and operations, achieving all production and business targets while maintaining an injury-free work site.

  • Ensures compliance to all Power Generation Division (PGD) operational model processes 
  • Leads by example and emulates the PGD shared values
  • Ensures all business activities are conducted following corporate policies and are in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal permits, codes, standards, and regulations
