Work Structure – Onsite (5 days; 7:30am – 4:30pm)

 

The primary role of the Craftsperson is to support the Coach Repair and (Re)Love Department in all aspects relating to the repair of product that comes through the work floor. 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in...
 

Repair, Refurbish, Upcrafting, Recycling / Remaking

  • Upcraft Coach Product (predominately leather handbags, Small leather goods and some knowledge of footwear and outerwear)
  • Sew; Stitch jointing 
  • Edge painting (touch-ups product and edge paint new product)
  • Reinforcing, stitch or finish by hand and sewing machine
  • Repair, restore and upcraft items made from leather   
  • Handcrafting skills
  • Leather cutting skills
  • Hardware removal and or application; Remove hardware, finishes, binding, zippers
  • Machine operating (e.g: skiving, splitting, folding, sewing, foot press, clicker etc..)

Quality Assessment  

  • Receive/unbox and properly stage repairs from direct mail, Coach Retail stores and Department stores. 
  • Evaluate and sort product into different categories as defined by Repairs Department guidelines. 
  • Evaluate and properly sort product into the correct repair batches. 
  • Enter all batches data into the system timely and accurately. 
  • Stage batched repairs accurately for the next step in the process. 
  • Pack/ship products as needed back to customer for non-repairable or as required by management. 
  • Support raw materials inventory as needed
