Production Planning Supervisor

Our Calhoun location in Tennessee, United States is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Production Planning Supervisor. This job is permanent, full-time.

Primary Purpose:

The Production Supervisor will be accountable for the production planning team’s day to day processes.  They will work with cross-functional teams on new items along with exit strategy from current items, they will follow up to ensure all materials used to mitigate write off cost.  Work with teams to ensure all BOM’s are setup and ready prior to production and correct consumption input.  Work to develop new systems and processes to make work flows more efficient

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and train production planning team
• Manage raw material process, new item setup, along with exit strategy to ensure all materials flow out to keep from write offs
• Monitor obsolete items to production and storage, help report to CS and Sales to move remaining FG’s
• Work with team to set parameters on Raw Material levels based off production and run rates. 

• Review material arrival dates with planners, and ensure distribution teams have delivery scheduled 
• Work with teams to ensure consumption models are accurate on BOMs
• Work with vendors for all sites along with planning team
• This role will also be back up to other planners in the tissue division if/when needed.
• Other special projects as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

• BA/BS degree in marketing, business, supply chain, engineering or combination of education and work experience of minimum 4-6 years in related fields of operations, and/or Supply chain.

 

• SAP and S2K knowledge is a plus

 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required: (PUBLISHER, EXCEL, WORD, and POWERPOINT)

 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within an organization.

 

• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple and ongoing tasks with ease.

 

• Motivated self-starter with the ability to use collaborative skills, work independently, and problem-solve.

 

• Represent Resolute Forest Products in a professional manner in all dealings while working directly with clients, internal staff and others.

 

• Reporting capabilities, including preparation and analysis of data.
