About the role
Chime is looking for an Engineering/Technical Product Management Intern to join our Data Product Management team. You will gain valuable professional experience working on and understanding how data and data technologies can drive business impact. You will work very closely with a number of smart Product Managers and Engineers which will provide you with great learning opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.
This role is structured as a 3 month engagement.
For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has a starting hourly rate of $42.00. The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Learn and collaborate with the analytics team and cross-functional stakeholders on the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation, experimentation, to launch.
- Write the PRD for a new model
- Write the PRD for a tool to get more value out of feature importance data
- Design the UI for anomaly detection tooling
- Run a model retrain
- Identify whether we can improve Analyst workflows with our existing Data Science development environment and implement necessary features for them
- Implement some infrastructure cost optimizations
- Expand internal usage of our model observability tooling
To thrive in this role, you need to have
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Business Management or related quantitative fields from an accredited college or university
- Strong Organizational and communication skills
- Structured Thinking
- Passion for learning and leveraging data, insights, and technology to solve problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Passion for consumer FinTech
- Bonus: experience with tools such as Looker, Tableau, Optimizely, or Amplitude
