POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Manager of Revenue and Access Applications, the primary role of the Supervisor is to provide daily direction to the revenue and access team. This position has oversite of all Revenue and Access Epic applications to include Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Claims and Remits, HIM, Grand Central, Cadence, Prelude and Welcome. The Supervisor should have a complete working knowledge of the EPIC application and workflows for the department/clinics they support as well as a complete understanding of the build, upgrade and release process. Supervisor will work closely with Manager of Revenue and Access Applications to accomplish goals set forth by the organization. They regularly meet with members of the IT team and are an advocate for the IT needs of the businesses, whether it's from an operational, patient care or service standpoint.  They will plan and prioritize the work of the Revenue and Access Application team to align with department or organizational goals.  Establishes procedures and processes for daily performance monitoring and ensures proactive steps are taken to minimize potential issues that impact the organization’s ability to complete its mission.  Provide administrative support for tracking and reporting open issues, enhancements, requests resource allocations and project status. Coordinate Revenue and Access Application team projects through planning, support, documentation, cross-training, analysis, and project management skills. Additional responsibilities include the following: Develops and revises team procedures for coordinated and efficient workflow operations.  Assist with priority setting of projects and participates in and conducts ongoing team and project team meetings. They will perform workflow analysis, data collection and report issues associated with the EPIC software.  They will build in the EPIC system and as part of this process they will understand and analyze the end user and business operation needs.   Supervisor will be required to follow IT Change Control processes, create support documentation following standard IT protocols and have working knowledge of HIPAA and other IT security and privacy best practices. The Supervisor is responsible for supporting a positive work environment, motivating staff and fostering teamwork by providing guidance to the team.  Supervisor reports project issues and staff performance issues to Manager. The Supervisor may be required to participate in an on-call rotation as determined by their Manager. To perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

  • One-year Information Services or related project management experience and bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Services, or related healthcare field OR three years Information Services experience supporting software and/or system implementations.
  • Demonstrated competency with Epic programming.
  • Information systems experience, including system installations/upgrades, analysis & support of clinical or business information systems, workflow development.

Desired:

  • Previous Supervisory Experience
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Epic Certification in at least one of the primary Revenue and Access Modules

Desired:

  • Multiple Epic Certifications across a variety of Revenue and Access Modules
  • Project Management PMP certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
