About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Managed PostgreSQL, one of the fastest-growing Service teams in OCI, to manage complex, cross-organizational programs. Must have an extensive background in Cloud Software Development Lifecycle Management.

We are specifically looking for a hands-on, Technical Program Manager to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Managed PostgreSQL team to drive mission-critical programs. Understanding various cloud technologies and technical trade-offs, the ideal candidate will be an exceptional problem solver, a strong communicator (both written and verbal), have a well-rounded technical background, and come with a history of leading large-scale, software development projects end-to-end.

  • Help define and deliver, large-scale enterprise-level managed PostgreSQL database 
  • Singlehandedly drive highly complex programs with competing priorities by influencing roadmaps and priorities of key stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain our roadmaps, set appropriate expectations, and ensure the services meet our high operational excellence standards. 
  • Take large, complex projects, break them down into manageable pieces, build detailed project schedules, and then drive the delivery in a successful and timely manner. 
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
  • Identify process gaps, improve current processes, and establish organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
  • Gain a deep technical understanding of OCI Managed PostgreSQL Database and be able to drive the technical direction of the teams, working with cross-functional, cross-service organizations.
  • Thrive and succeed in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Lead interactions with cross-functional teams consisting of UX designers, engineers, product managers, and executive leadership.


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years managing large-scale technical software programs.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale, highly complex cloud development projects, especially in the storage space.
  • High tech, S/W environment, familiarity with compute/storage solutions
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities.
  • Extensive Understanding of SDLC and modern application development
  • A demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically. 
  • Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.
  • Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; CSM and PMP are a plus

US: Hiring Range: from $74,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
