Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the managing, coordinating and directing of all budgets related functions of the Office of Shared Administration (OSA), Department of Health (DH}, Health Facilities (HF}, and Department of Human Services (OHS). This organizational unit is responsible for the management of a multi-billion-dollar budget.This position involves assisting in managing and coordinating a very complex budget which funds a multitude of statewide programs administered through the various Bureaus of the departments (OSA, DH, HF, and DHS), as well as other boards and commissions that report to or through the departments (OSA, DH, HF, and OHS). Responsibilities also include providing budget and funding guidance, assistance and consulting of professional, technical and clerical staff within the departments (OSA, DH, HF, and OHS), and Bureaus. This position coordinates directly with staff from the State Budget Office, State Auditor' s Office and Legislative Representatives. Primarily responsible for the preparation of the departments (OSA. DH, HF, and OHS) expenditure schedule and annual appropriation request for departments (OSA, DH, HF, and OHS). Develops and reviews budgetary data for the Secretaries (OSA, DH, HF, and OHS}, Deputies, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Budget Officer and Director of Office of Budgets to fulfill financial requirements to its various programs; consistency with reporting and accountability to federal, state, executive and legislative concerns and to maintain the highest level of financial integrity over the appropriated monies of the state and federal government. As such, this position requires a comprehensive knowledge of all accounting principles, state and federal regulations, accountability standards and knowledge of all accounting principles, state and federal regulations, accountability standards and knowledge of programs operated within (OSA, DH, HF, and OHS) and affiliates.

Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a degree in the area of assignment.Special Requirement: A valid driver's license may be required.

SPECIAL APPROVED SUBSTITUTION: “Graduate course work from an accredited college or university may substitute at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of required experience.”
