JOB SUMMARY:

The Credit Data Strategy & Reporting is responsible for enterprise-wide governance and the integrity and usage of data during its lifecycle and for internal and external reporting. The Credit Data Czar will use their analytic and technical skills for improving data quality through analytics and business intelligence tools and platforms, as well as business process design. The incumbent will work with internal and external business and technology groups to design and prototype analyses using varying data assets. The incumbent will develop an understanding of business strategies and needs for effective exploitation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Standardizing credit data definitions and classifications and ensuring that a data trail is effectively documented within the processes associated with accessing, retrieving, exchanging, reporting, managing, and storing of data.
  • Representing credit risk on an enterprise-wide data management framework.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships between business units to ensure insights become actionable and drive desirable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop and test business rules for the correct handling and usage of data, including developing metrics and reports.
  • Review end-to-end data gathering and refreshing steps to ensure proper use and quality results.
  • Utilize data handling and mining tools to support a proactive data quality monitoring program focusing on business intelligence and analytics applications.
  • Work with the credit analytics teams and credit data originators and users for consistency of use of data assets, as well as to eliminate redundancies and need for reconciliations.
  • Present reports to management to summarize analytic projects, data quality and usage metrics, and data integration intelligence.
  • Help assist data literacy across the company so various stakeholders can put your data to use.
  • Ensure data is in a clean, consistent, accurate and actionable format for the rest of the company to easily use.
  • Execute ad hoc data analyses in response to business requests.
  • Participate in collaborative software and system design and development for new platforms, products, and services.
  • Representing credit risk regarding data security, BCP and recovery frameworks.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field like information management, statistics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or related field
  • 10+ years of Analytics experience in any of the listed industry: credit risk, financial services, marketing, fraud, or insurance.
  • Experience in Data Wrangling, Data Engineering, or related roles in Big Data ecosystem and/or distributed computing along with extensive analytic programming and automation skills such as: Python, R or SQL, and BI tools like Spotfire or Tableau
  • Strong aptitude and proven ability to develop data-driven solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Experience or aptitude to mentor and lead a team of more junior analyst, including personnel management.
  • Experience deriving insight from large amounts of diverse customer data using analytical and visual techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about banking regulations as it applies to credit and lending functions.
