Drafter

SUMMARY

Will be an integral part of our design team and work closely with structural engineers to analyze and produce construction documents for variety of building types.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use CAD and REVIT to provide support to project engineers by preparing project layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, & diagrams necessary for construction documents
• Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from structural engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects such as parking garages, stadiums, and office buildings, working from sketches or notes.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Working & Experience using CAD and REVIT
• Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Associated Degree in Computer Drafting
• 5 years experience in structural drafting design

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to perform general office administrative activities
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
