It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities. </p> <h1>Job Description</h1><p>We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health &amp; Safety (EHS) and Process Safety Leader to oversee High Hazard (HH) and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs across our Covington and Madison facilities. This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements, and partnering cross-functionally to identify, assess, and mitigate process-related risks.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Process Safety &amp; Risk Management</b></p><ul><li>Identify, assess, and mitigate process hazards through effective risk management strategies and safety programs.</li><li>Lead and facilitate <b>Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs)</b> for existing and new processes, ensuring timely resolution of findings and recommendations.</li><li>Evaluate new and modified processes, equipment, and facility changes to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Provide oversight of the site's <b>Management of Change (MOC)</b> process to ensure operational and safety risks are properly assessed and controlled.</li><li>Manage the site PHA schedule and drive implementation of corrective actions and recommendations.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Program Development &amp; Compliance</b></p><ul><li>Develop, implement, and continuously improve High Hazard and Process Safety Management (HH/PSM) programs.</li><li>Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including both leading and lagging metrics, to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, industry standards, and company policies.</li><li>Maintain technical expertise in HH/PSM requirements and proactively assess the impact of evolving regulations on site operations.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Incident Prevention &amp; Investigation</b></p><ul><li>Lead and support <b>Root Cause Analysis (RCA)</b> investigations for incidents, process upsets, and near misses across both facilities.</li><li>Oversee and conduct <b>Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)</b> for new and modified processes, equipment, and capital projects.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve process safety performance and prevent future incidents.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, and Operations teams to develop and evaluate maintenance strategies for high-hazard operations and specialized equipment.</li><li>Collaborate with site teams to implement EHS and PSM-related procedures, programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Serve as a site representative during interactions with regulatory agencies, permitting authorities, and insurance providers.</li><li>Participate as an active member of the broader HH/PSM network, sharing best practices and driving standardization across the organization.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Training &amp; Leadership</b></p><ul><li>Develop and deliver technical training programs to strengthen site knowledge and compliance with HH/PSM requirements.</li><li>Mentor site personnel and provide guidance to leadership teams on process safety and risk management matters.</li><li>Foster a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and continuous learning.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Environmental Health &amp; Safety, Process Engineering, or equivalent. </span></li><li><span>3 years leading EHS processes in a manufacturing environment. </span></li><li>Minimal travel to other company sites, as well as professional conferences may be required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>3 years in a PSM or RMP regulated environment.  </span></li><li><span>Experience in Fire Loss and Prevention activities including involvement with insurance carrier.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Professional Skills &amp; Key Competencies:</b></p><ul><li><p>Troubleshooting / Problem Solving - Advanced Safety &amp; Ergonomics Expertise</p></li><li><p>Project Management</p></li><li><p>Quality Systems Knowledge</p></li><li><p>Logistics &amp; Planning Knowledge</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work Environment:</b></p><ul><li><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. </p></li><li><p>The employee must be able to wear p
