About the role

Description

The University of Michigan-Flint, Public Health & Health Sciences  Department, is seeking applicants for a LEO Intermittent Lecturer for the Winter 2025 semester to provide instruction for the Respiratory Therapy Program.   This position is from January 2025 through April 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Course Description: Leadership concepts and practices within selected healthcare organizations and the management of a respiratory care department, including staffing patterns, professional development, billing systems, budgeting processes, equipment and technology evaluation, and employee performance assessment  Graded ABCDE
  • Teaching: provide course instruction through lectures, discussion boards, and case studies, grade assignments, quizzes and tests, work collaboratively with department faculty.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Respiratory Therapy or health related field
  • Candidates must exhibit proficiency in curriculum design, instruction, and evaluation
  • Have a strong committment to cultural diversity

Desired qualifications

  • Registered in Respiratory Therapy
  • Three years' full-time experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Two years' experience as an instructor in Respiratory Therapy accredited program
