The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is a rapidly growing public-private partnership of preeminent semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies, national labs, and academic institutions.  Our mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. Purpose

Provides strategic and operational leadership for accounting, financial reporting and analysis, including federal and commercially sponsored programs and the TIE semiconductor consortium.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight of financial functions, including accounting and financial reporting and analysis.

• Hire, train, mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals.

• Serves as the organizations primary point of contact and liaison to central university offices such as the Office of Accounting and Internal Audits.

• Supports efforts to ensure sound financial planning, budgeting, and account management processes are in place and in compliance with UT processes and procedures.
