About Us

The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is a rapidly growing public-private partnership of preeminent semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies, national labs, and academic institutions.  Our mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. ​General Notes

Purpose

Provides strategic and operational leadership for accounting, financial reporting and analysis, including federal and commercially sponsored programs and the TIE semiconductor consortium.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight of financial functions, including accounting and financial reporting and analysis.

  • Hire, train, mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals.

  • Serves as the organizations primary point of contact and liaison to central university offices such as the Office of Accounting and Internal Audits.

  • Supports efforts to ensure sound financial planning, budgeting, and account management processes are in place and in compliance with UT processes and procedures.
