As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Global Operations and Quality Finance department at the headquarter in Alameda, CA. This position will have the opportunity to support our Global Operations areas including Facilities, Procurement, Project Management, Supply Chain, and others providing financial analysis and support. The Senior Analyst will execute a wide range of financial planning and analysis and decision support activities for Abbott Diabetes Care Global Operations area. This includes the full range of responsibilities (e.g., general accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and internal control among others) to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial related information.  This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the month-end close process of Global Operations area based in Alameda, CA in compliance with Division and Corporate reporting requirements including among others:
  • Preparation and validation of journal entries (including interaction with Genpact and Corporate Financial Services teams)
  • Actuals reporting and analysis of actual vs forecast
• Responsible for ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled as per agreed timings, explaining balance sheet fluctuations and review resulting analysis with the Assistant Controller at least quarterly.  
• Perform the forecasting, and analysis function for operating expenses, capital and project expenses, and balance sheet for Global Operations area.
• Responsible for the assets management of Global Operations area based in Alameda including assets settlement and periodic asset verification.
