Senior Software Developer

The Senior Storage Engineer is responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly activities required to keep a client system running at peak performance, while focused on delivering on the architecture for SAN.  The Senior Storage Engineer is responsible for a variety of technical projects, to deliver on the storage arrays, switching, and keep the technology current.   Beyond running large scale projects for storage, the Senior Storage Engineer is also a mentor and leader in the technology community to help engineers develop and grow in their abilities.  

The day-to-day activities may include:

• Working with vendors to stay ahead of technology, plan, purchase, and implement SAN/Storage technologies
• Working with a team or independently to delivery on SAN/Storage related projects
• Working with engineers to mentor, train, or share knowledge on SAN and other technologies.
• Delivering SAN/Storage technologies that are fit for purpose in critical infrastructure environments.
• On-call support is a required part of this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Detailed knowledge of SAN fabric protocols, SAN routing and zoning configuration, multi-vendor SAN and storage systems, and various management solutions. 
• Strong interpersonal skills
• 6-10 Years SAN support experience
• Experience supporting a variety of storage systems
• Knowledge of switch Fabric Operating System
• Ability to work off-hours when required
• Ability to provide on-call support
• Ability to resolve issues before they become critical 
• Innovative, self-motivated, and able to interact with all levels of the organization
• Must currently reside or be able to relocate to the United States (Kansas City, MO preferred)
• Must be fully authorized to acquire a VISA to work within the United States

As a member of the storage operations team within the global compute operations org, you will be be tasked with maintaining the storage environment.  This includes day-to-day management of hardware, resolution of service tickets, proactive maintenance, and project work.  As a Senior Storage Engineer, will be expected to provide technical leadership to other storage engineers and participate in multiple aspects of operations. Scope is not limited to US-based systems. On occasion or in the future, you may be required to support systems in other countries.

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
