Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Supply Chain Data Analytics Engineer to join the Product & Technology Planning team at Western Digital. This role is ideal for someone who excels in data engineering and has an inclination or has worked on supply chain planning/processes, possesses good coding skills, and has some background in machine learning. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain processes through innovative data analytics solutions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement process automation to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  Develop and maintain relational databases to enable advanced analytics
• Design and deploy effective Power BI dashboards for real-time supply chain analytics and reporting.
• Support supply/demand planning processes for silicon memory and components
• Explore and integrate advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning models and large language models (LLMs), to improve supply chain decision-making and process automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science / Data Engineering, or a related field. 

• Proficiency in Python, with experience in other programming languages being a plus. 

• Experience in data engineering, including expertise in database management and SQL. 

• Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools. 

• Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and their applications in real world scenarios. 

• Experience with LLMs or a strong interest in exploring their use in supply chain analytics is preferred.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
