Marsh is currently seeking MMA Business Development Specialist to support, develop and enable Bowring Marsh growth by working with the Marsh McLennan Agencies (MMA)

We will count on you to: 

  • Sales and growth planning
  • Solicit new business from the MMA network
  • Oversee and drive new product development and sales campaign in MMA
  • Connect and communicate across Bowring Marsh and MMA stakeholders on key sales objectives
  • Work collaboratively with MMA offices / colleagues and Bowring Marsh offices / colleagues as required on individual placements
  • Manage sales MI through Marshforce for the leadership team
  • Set and achieve specific goals as evidenced in Workday
  • Meet revenue targets as set by Management
  • Plan the broking and placing of business with MMA colleagues and clients
  • Develop and maintain market knowledge and relationships with a broad range of underwriters and Bowring Marsh brokers
  • Develop new and existing relationships with clients and colleagues throughout the MMA network
  • Plan a market approach with colleagues across MMA and Bowring Marsh
  • Provide support to the Department leader and the Bowring Marsh Management Team
  • Carry out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be specified by management

What you need to have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in insurance broking in the London market
  • Significant experience of placing complex risks in the global insurance markets
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance concepts and terms for developing and placing programs, preparing placement slips and cover notes, and drafting or amending new and existing contracts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining good client, insurer, and internal relationships. Strong verbal and writing skills for complex communications (presentations, negotiations, etc.) with clients, markets and Marsh colleagues at many levels
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills across various stakeholder groups
  • Drive and tenacity to achieve results
  • Strong leadership skills on growth and complex projects
  • Ability to identify trend and opportunities from sales MI and other market trend
  • Negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Product, industry, and market knowledge
