Senior Manager / Associate Director, Pipeline Strategy

Location: The preference is for this job is to be a Bay Area hybrid position compatible with candidates located within driving distance of Natera's San Carlos office, and can commute into the office one time per week.   

Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing focused on changing the management of disease in reproductive health, oncology, and organ transplantation.  Signatera is a personalized, tumor-informed test for molecular residual disease (MRD) assessment and surveillance monitoring in patients previously diagnosed with cancer.  Signatera is covered by Medicare for colorectal cancer (CRC), muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), high-risk breast cancer, and immunotherapy response monitoring for any solid tumor.  

As the Senior Manager / Associate Director of Pipeline Strategy for GI/GU cancers, this individual will work in a highly matrixed environment to help shape the strategic direction and drive execution for company success in these cancer types.  This individual will report directly to the VP of Oncology Marketing.    

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of GI and GU commercial planning, working closely with broader cross functional teams to create and execute a promotional plan that supports uptake across all stakeholders (e.g., academic and community oncology)
• Serve as a critical member on clinical pipeline teams to help identify and fill evidence data gaps.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the GI and GU cancer space by integrating real-time customer feedback, publications, and data presentations.
• Own GI / GU core messaging in collaboration with Medical Affairs for Natera’s oncology suite of products based on clinical evidence and the competitive landscape.
• Partner with Access to gain reimbursement for non-covered indications. 
• Develop KOL engagement plans in collaboration with broader marketing and medical teams (gain feedback, develop deep relationships, build advocacy)
• Co-develop and co-execute advisory boards in collaboration with medical affairs.
• Identify and manage relationships with patient advocacy partners.
• Frequently present strategic plans and progress on goals to executive leadership.

• Proven strategic agility with an enterprise mindset and ability to operate with executive presence 
• Ability to partner and collaborate across a broad range of internal and external partners  
• Strong customer orientation and focus, particularly establishing thought leader relationships
• Proven ability to communicate the complex simply (biomarkers, multiple indications, etc.)
• Strong organizational / time management skills; manage and complete multiple projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, Advanced degree preferred (MBA or PhD)
• GI and / or GU oncology market experience strongly preferred 
• >5 years experience in product marketing, market analytics at a pharmaceutical / biotech company
• Previous KOL management experience preferred
• Working knowledge of oncology molecular testing / biomarkers
• ~25% travel required (advisory boards, congresses, sales / marketing meetings, customer meetings)
