Job Title: Track Worker/Thermite Welder

Location: Various Locations in Central Florida
Starting Pay: $26.00 per hour
Job Summary: To build and repair railroad track. Dismantling tracks with appropriate tools and setting up molds to weld joints together and removing imperfections of weld using grinders and sheers.
Responsibilities: Experience in thermite welding. Must be able to be self-directed as well as lead a small work group up to five (5).
Experienced in general railroad track work; such as; rail cutting, rail measuring, rail removal, rail replacement, switch configuration, track construction and restoration.
Maintenance, track/equipment repair using mig welders, stick welders, and cutting torches. Extensive travel will be required with this position.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations.
- Participate actively in team meetings, job briefings, and safety meetings.
- Remove and replace track and components such as ties, rails, bars, etc.
- Cut rails to specific lengths as needed.
- Adjust, lift, and roll rails.
- Sort track material for loading and unloading.
- Perform vegetation clearance from the right-of-way.
- Spray switches, angle bars, and joints with oil for lubrication.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver's License
Railroad Track Maintenance Experience preferred.

- Verbal comprehension

- Reasoning skills
- Basic Math
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Physical agility: stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and occasional climbing.
- Auditory and visual acuity required.
Environmental Conditions:
Work outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally at elevated heights.
