What will you do? 

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all Transcarent’s digital assets are protected from unauthorized access and other threats. You will help develop solutions to tackle security and business challenges to protect employee and consumer data. You will collaborate with our engineering, DevOps, IT teams and also help design, build, test, and implement information security technologies and infrastructure. You will help select and manage applications related to data protection, infrastructure security, and threat monitoring. 

 

Requirements: 

• Proven work experience as a security engineer 
• Experience in building and maintaining security systems 
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols 
• Very strong logic and problem-solving skills 
• Familiar with network protocols and their weaknesses 
• Ability to work under pressure 
• Desire and ability to automate existing processes using modern scripting language or automation tools 
• Incident response & security investigation experience 
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and securing web applications 

Bonus: 

• Prior working experience with HIPAA/HITRUST/PCI/NIST/ISO requirements and standards 
• One or more certifications in the networking/security field (CISSP/CCNA/CCNP/CISA/GIAC) 
• Familiar with threat models for large, distributed systems and cloud-based infrastructure 
• Project Management experience 
• Pen-testing, red team, blue team, and CTF experience 
• Experience with SIEM, WAF, SASE, Antimalware, and Identity Management tools 

Total Rewards 

As a remote position, the salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity. 

Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

Location 

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.
