What you need to know
This position may allow up to 2 days per week remote work which can be discussed further during the interview process.
The salary range for position is commensurate. Final salary will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
Job Summary:
Works under general supervision and provides administrative support for a unit to include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment. Orders supplies for researchers to use in the lab or office; Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives. 33%
Process invoices in AggieBuy; handles making large capital equipment purchases; process procard entries and expense reports. 20%
Coordinates small and large shipments for researchers and lab operations: 11%
Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing management policies or operating practices. Develops administrative and technical procedures. Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures. 10%
Prepares travel expense reports in Emburse for researchers. May assist with rental car, airfare, hotel, or other travel arrangements; Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events and may provide on-site support. 10%
Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations. May serve as the office manager. Monitors office procedures. Develops, evaluates, and ensures adherence to office procedures. 5%
